Re: Sims 3 store

@vvscess  Please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads, and delete the file labeled [your email].bin.  Sort the Downloads folder by modified date (you can click on that header), and delete any files that were created at the times you've tried and failed to download content.  Then try again.  If it doesn't work, repeat the process, except use a different browser.

If that doesn't help either, please let me know exactly what happens when you try to download the items, including a screenshot of any error message you see.

@puzzlezaddict Hi, sorry for the late response. I have deleted the files that you recommended but I am still having issues. However I did notice that when I went to my billing history on the sims 3 store it says that I haven’t purchased anything but on purchase history it shows me exactly what I bought.

@vvscess  Did you try all the suggestions?  In particular, running the Origin reset tool (not the diagnostic tool on the same page; it's actually called ResetOrigin) and then repairing the game usually clears this up.   But if not, please let me know whether the base game icon is lit up or grayed out along the bottom of the launcher after reseting Origin and repairing.

Yes, I tried everything but I think it has to do with me changing my email. I wish I hadn’t now all the items I bought through the store won’t install.

@vvscess  I suppose this could in fact be an account issue that you can't solve, and in that case I'll flag your thread for someone from EA to look at.  But first, please make sure your email is showing as verified on ea.com.  You can check under Account Settings > About Me.

If that's not the issue, please do all of the following, together and before trying to download content and even the steps you've done before, just to be thorough.

    • Run the Origin reset tool
    • Rename or move the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts
    • Go into Applications > Utilities, open Keychain Access, search for sims , and delete any entry with sims3 in its name
    • Install Firefox if you don't already use it, or if you do, clear its cache
    • Repair Sims 3 in Origin
    • Restart your computer

Once you've done all that, open the launcher to spawn a clean user folder, then use Firefox to try to download one Store item.  Let me know whether it works.
