Oops, I thought you said WHAT are you looking for lol.
Well yeah, in the tattoo section. - crinrict13 years agoHero+
Are you using any custom content like maybe skins or anything ? Does the stuff show as installed in your launcher or does it uninstall itself when you open the launcher ?
- Anonymous13 years ago
I am using custom skins, everything I've downloaded says it's installed just like everything else. It just doesn't show up in the game for some reason :/

Try renaming the folder documents\electronicarts\thesims3 to documents\electronicarts\thesims3_Backup and then start the launcher to create a new folder. Then install one tattoo and go back in the game to see if it shows up.
All other content will be gone but it's still in that backup folders, so not to worry.
If it does, you can start moving the files over from the backup folder, starting with options, savesgames etc. You probably need to reinstall all cc but it means something you have installed is conflicting with the tattoos.

Still doesn't show up ☹️
100% positive I did everything right. Had no custom content whatsoever and checked to make sure a new folder was made. I downloaded one of the links I sent you and it still doesn't show up. I'm starting to think it might be something with the game itself. I'm getting a new hard drive in the mail tomorrow so when I do I'll have to re download it anyways. I no longer have my original disc for the base game so once I get it again I'll try to re install everything.
Thank you so much for trying to help though, I really appreciate it! - crinrict13 years agoHero+
If you still have your registration code, you can redeem that on Origin and install the download version. This way you are able to reinstall.
Sorry, I don't have any other suggestions for you ☹️

So I downloaded it from origin again as you suggested and it still doesn't work. Having the same problem as before so I know it wasn't an install issue... Don't know what else to try. Installing custom tattoos is the same as download Sims and lots right?

Should be.
I really can't say what is not working in your game.
- Go to the exchange and look for a tattoo you like
- Download the tattoo to your game (you can also try save as but the exchange is a little funny with save as right now)
- Go to your download tab and find the tattoo
- Click on install to install it to your game
- Open the game to play and find the tattoo in CAS in the tattoo section.

That's what I've been doing :/
Do any tattoos show up as "style" for the type for you?And is there a way I can contact EA about this for help? It doesn't seem like any one else has this problem 😞

Don't really remember what it was. What's the alternative ?

I think it was style then but I'm not 100% certain.
