Redownloaded Sims 3 through EA App, game and sims 3 launcher won't launch
After a long time of not playing the sims 3 (many years) I got the urge to play again so I redownloaded the game through the EA app come to find that the sims 3 won't launch at all, the launcher doesn't even show up it just reloads the EA app.
I have tried the powershell script fix, I've tried the directx 9 fix, launching as an administrator straight from .exe file, uninstalling and reinstalling, limiting the CPU in the affinity part of task manager, restarting my computer multiple times... it's been like 4 hours straight of trying to get this to work and I'm tired. So if anyone is able to tell me how to get my game to work that would be lovely.

gracehannah13 Thanks for the dxdiag, but the error you originally posted has the important details: it points to an issue with .NET Framework 3.5. So please uninstall and reinstall it. Click Windows key-R, enter appwiz.cpl in the run box, click "Turn Windows features on or off," and .NET 3.5 will be near the top of the list. Click the filled-in box to uninstall, and restart your computer. Repeat the above, clicking the now-empty box to reinstall, and restart again.
If .NET 3.5 is already uninstalled, you can simply install it and restart.
If you get an error when trying to uninstall or reinstall it, please post a screenshot.
