I hear you, and reasons like that are why we want to reinstall SIms 3. It sounds really corny but this game was a mother/daughter bond when it came out. My daughter will tell you today that being able to play Sims in her special way kept some self-harm thoughts away. When she turned 18 we got matching Plumbob tattoos on our ankles. We didn't get Sims 4 until last year! She hated it and wouldn't play, I got bored very quickly and stopped. Sims has been part of our family since Sims 1.
