sims 3 and .net framework 3.5

aye, so I bought and downloaded the sims 3 and when i tried to install it, it told me my internet connection was messed up. I knew it wasnt because I was going on the internet on my phone and going on google chrome on my laptop. I googled every possible solution and have attempted them but i still am unable to install sims 3 because of .Net Framework 3.5 and it says I need to download it, but when I choose to download it, it tells me i can't and i dont know why. I've turned on the .net framework 3.5 under "turn windows features on or off" I have done nearly everything.

@rockstarjess  Yes, .NET Framework 3.5 installs fine on Windows 11.  You can try uninstalling and reinstalling it if you want.  Click Windows key-R, enter appwiz.cpl in the run box, click "Turn Windows features on or off," and .NET 3.5 will be near the top of the list.  Click the filled-in box to uninstall, restart your computer, and repeat, clicking the now-empty box to reinstall, and restart again.

This thread is almost a decade old, so I'll lock it here.  If the above doesn't help, please create your own thread in this forum describing your particular issue: what you see on-screen, and when, instead of Sims 3 working properly.  Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to your post.
