SIMs 3 options don't work since a few days

I can set any options but it seems to be ignored at all.

so it runs annoyingly with all music on and my sims act weird with free actions.

it could be that it started that way after I unintentionally hit the shop mode.

    @ITSMEatALL  It sounds like you have an all-disc install that doesn't require the EA App.  That's fine, but it also means your game isn't up to date.  The last patch level that didn't involve Origin (or now the EA App) is 1.67.  So please download the Super Patch and run it.  Here's a direct download link:

    Your browser might flag it, but the link is safe—it points directly to EA servers.  Once you've done that, try to change some options again and see what happens.

    @ITSMEatALL  Try deleting Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3.  This will reset all your in-game options, but hopefully your changes will stick going forward.

    If that doesn't help, please let me know what antivirus you use and whether OneDrive is running on this computer.

    @puzzlezaddict I deleted options.ini and after game restart the file show what I wanted to do, but shows different in in-game options and it doesn't do any of my desired settings. (default.ini doesn't show options)
    No antivirus (except what windoze_10 edge ) and no OneDrive here.

    @ITSMEatALL  I don't understand what you mean.  Could you post a couple of screenshots?  Default.ini isn't involved with this, so please leave it alone.  Options.ini stores selections you've made in-game, and DeviceConfig.log reports on those settings and on your hardware.

    this three png show always the same after I alter and review it, but options.ini shows my desired settings. looks like I miss a file or an entry ?

    @ITSMEatALL  What game version do you see in the lower-left corner of the launcher?  How did you install Sims 3: through the EA App or Steam, via disc, or something else?  You may need to repair the game, but how to do so depends on the type of install.

    @puzzlezaddict I bought SIMS3 DVDs (world/loft/garden/fast-lane) more than ten (could be 15) years ago and played it quite often.
    I remember that the very first installation asked for a patch which I downloaded (~850 MB). I already tried a complete new install from DVDs but the sticky options reappeared. I usually started the game without the launcher to avoid unwanted net updates. But had to use it after crash,
    so I suspect the Launcher loaded some update and destroyed vital data.
    another main problem is this old game cannot identify my not so old sound and graphic hardware. I can change screen resolution and need to disable all sound with cheats.

    @ITSMEatALL  Please tell me what version you see in the lower-left corner of the launcher.

    Please also tell me whether you NOW need to launch the game through the EA App, or you can open Sims 3 without the App.

    @puzzlezaddict I just started the game with the Launcher now,
    and it took several minutes to start at all (direct TS3.exe is much faster).
    version: 7.0.55.010001 I tried update: "game is up to date".
    SAME problem as reported before: ignores my option setting and fallback.
