Stuck in Champs Les Sims

In my current game, I can't return from France. I brought three sims there, an adult, a teen, and a kid. I've passed the time where the vacation expired and come well into the next day. I then tried to Return Home with the mobile phone, and the two youngsters went home, but the adult stayed.

I would expect the problem is exactly with the adult, as she's had other problems reminding of the Jump Bug. She cannot interact with some of the locals, and she cannot deliver the Titanium as required in her travel opportunity.

I've been looking at the Sims Not Arriving at Travel Destination FAQ, as I suspect this is related, and tried the advice there, including, of course, Resetsim and such.

I've tried tinkering with Edit Town, but can't find out anything helpful there. I can't move my sim out of Base Camp or anything, and neither can I edit it or the house in home town. I can go to home town in Edit City, but when I choose Return to Game, I'm also returned to France.

I've also tried deleting the cash files. I wanted to try deleting the .nhd file for France, but there is none in the save (probably because I haven't been home yet, and this is the household's first trip to France). I also tried deleting the travelDB file, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Any suggestions, apart from going back to an earlier save and not go to France with this troubled sim?

I really sounds like you tried everything you can try in a case like this. Going back to an earlier save and trying the trip to France again is pretty much all that is left. Sorry about that! 😕mileyfrustrated:

Thanks for acknowledging the issue 😕mileyhappy: .

I have since reloaded a save from before the France trip and continued the game in another direction. I don't plan on going to France again with the trooubled sim, unless somebody here has something meaingful to try requiring that. I'm just planning to let her go, as she's an older generation, and a new generation is taking over the household.

I don't think I should mark the issue as solved, should I? Of course I've managed to not loose months of building the household, but the main issue is still not really solved.

This is a common and known issue so if the issue is kinda solved for you, mark it as such so that helpers know that they don't have to check up on it.

It's really up to you though.
