The Sims 3 Patch 1.66 Won't Work

I bought The Sims 3 Into The Future yesterday and I am trying to download it.  It says i have to update the launcher so i do so.  But every time i do it loads and uses up my internet then say 'file not found' or something along those lines.  And if i insert the disk into my laptop it will come up with the installing starter then it tells me it needs to update to be able to download so I click 'yes' and it will say 'download in process. Please wait' for as lond as i will leave it.  It won't come up with the patch installer or anything.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my last game, The Sims 3 Movie Stuff, and i have redownloaded Origin to ensure it is up to date.  It is really bugging me so pleeeeasssseee help!!!!! 😕mileyhappy:

    I hvae it for PC btw and have all of the Sims 3 games so far installed. The launcher has been updated to 1.57 but it won't update to 1.66.

    Please help!🙂

    do NOT update to 1.66 IT DOES NOT WORK unless you have the CD

    I updated to 1.66 on both my private computer and my work computer. The game works perfectly fine. If you have an issue with the new update, please open a separate thread for that.

    hi sorry i dont know how to open a new thread first time on this site. im having problems now since i updated to 1.66 for into the future first time downloading the game and it wont go pass the loading screen with the green bar. the bar fills all the way up until a tiny tiny bit at the end and it wont go pass that. i dont know what to do, if you have any suggestions please help. thanks. oh and i  dont have a cd version of into the future if that helps any...

    Hey, I have the same problem. I have patch 1.67.2 though. Did someone help you. My dad will flip out if there is something else wrong with my Sims.
