Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim enrolled in a university, while being a vampire. Send the vampire Sim to go present their presentation.
What happens when the bug occurs? It says that the vampire sim is outside while doing a presentation and using up their vampire power and almost dying because of it.
What do you expect to see? The sim not burning to death while trying to finish a presentation that shouldn't be outside.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

My friend who also owns the sims, the same packs, has the same issue.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Make a vampire sim without the sun resistance vampire power. (Mine is on the level Minor vampire) 2. Enroll the vampire into Britechester university to study Physics and take a class that requires to give a presentation (My vampire has Robotics in Adverse Conditions) 3. Make the presentation (Normal quality) and go to present it on a sunny day
What happens when the bug occurs? The vampire sim loses vampire energy because of being in the sun, even though they go into a rabbit hole to give the presentation inside the University building. Because the vampire doesn't have Sun resistance, the vampire dies of sun exposure as soon as they are done with the presentation or comes very close to it without cheating their needs.
What do you expect to see? The vampire sim doesn't loose vampire energy when giving a presentation for a university course, because they are inside a building and therefore not burned actively to death by the sun.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I've had one vampire sim in university before but i don't remember this happening then. Could be that I had the Sun resistance trait then.

My sim was a Male sim with the female body type. Went into a building to give the final presentation on an excellent presentation 2 minutes before the windowed closed to present. They died just like the other peoples sims did from the sun. I have Eco Lifestyle, Vampires, and University installed. Those packs have are the big features that where in effect at the time.

Hi! I don't know if there's a fix for this yet, or maybe a workaround but I'm experiencing the same thing with my Vampire sim. And for me this goes one step further, cause when the Sim went to class (It was a class that doubled as Final Exam if that matters) he started burning all over again. I had to close the game to keep him from dying (I want him to have full marks cause I'm a perfectionist). 

Any help or advice would be amazing! 

There are a couple easy ways to deal with this.

1. Sun Resistance powers. These reduce the Vampiric Energy drained by being outside in the sun. At level 3, you have total immunity to sunlight.

2. Sunlight Reversal Cocktail. You learn the recipe at level 11 of Vampiric Lore. Make at a bar and drink before going out. You'll actually gain energy from the sunlight, instead of losing energy.

ETA: It also helps to take the Bat Form power, so you can get back inside faster when the presentation is over.

Ay thanks so much! Unfortunately my Sim is only a minor vampire and doesn't have access to any of the things you mentioned just yet... Do I just try it and pray he doesn't die? Or do I just let him tank his grade and deal with it to keep him alive?

He's level 7 in Vampire Lore and I've only just unlocked the second row of powers and he's only had to take 1 weakness, not the sun weakness, he's a guilty drinker. 

Well, it's certainly a tough choice. It's probably better to be alive, with bad grades, than dead with no grades.

I would try attending the final exam, and hope for the best, then exit without saving if it ended up killing him. The second time, I would probably send him to class about 30 minutes late, so he wouldn't be in the sun quite as long,

For the future, I would recommend studying vampire lore as much as possible until you unlock the Sun Reversal recipe. That's almost certainly faster than getting Sun Resistance.

Thanks! I'll definitely work on the vampire lore, he's got all the geeky traits (I want him to be a supervillain/high society vampire) so that shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully he can graduate Uni first though lmao.
