[ARCHIVED] [GF] Drama Club not promoting (Teen)

I had the same problem with my teen sim, fulfilled all the requirements for days and was never promoted until once he had a play that the other household members could attend as well, and after that he was finally promoted! So maybe that's kind of a secret requirement?

@Japanic2012 Which thread in GD are you referring to ? There was one where the kid didn't progress which is not a bug cause you need to be a teen to progress as you're saying.

IIRC it worked fine for the user once they aged up.

It was left open as I never saw anyone post it in Bug Reports or offer a working solution to that issue, except by using cheats. Manage World or traveling to another lot, as someone suggested, does also have no effect.

I can confirm that I’ve had issues with teens getting promoted to level 4 when they started Drama Club as children and aged up yo teens at level 3. I also noticed when my teens were late they got promoted to level 4. I have five teens that all had this issue, so far four finally got the promotion after being late. I may try @Japanic2012  suggestion of taking it easy with my fifth sim, I was going to have her go late. Thanks!

@crinrict I wondered where the borderline actually was for being promoted by trying out different stages in performance and it seems that, if you play it the ordinary way (meaning without being late or skipping + normal work attitude), you can't progress further as a Teen while the check mark is present (as seen in DramaClassBug14.jpg). Once the Teen is out of range of that milestone, there should be nothing in the way to getting promoted after claiming that check mark again.

@MapleSimmer By attending the Drama Class only with "Take it Easy" attitude, keep in mind that there is a slight chance of random events popping up (as seen in DramaClassBug09.jpg) that may award you with a significant bonus in performance (which we don't really want at this time!), rendering the whole effort useless. Is it supposed to be by design that a child sim cannot be promoted to level 4 in the Drama Club activity and they must age up to a teen first, or is that also a bug? I have two kids in my current household, one of which managed to get to the top of the Drama Club before aging up into a teen, got the award and the milestone for doing so, but the younger child will not promote no matter what I do. The screenshot I've added is of my first child's milestones showing his promotion, followed by getting a childhood phase.

Still occurring as of Jan 2024. My child sim has 100% performance and daily tasks completed and they cannot get promoted, not sure if this  bug extends to children but there is no limitation described in the work tab.

i found a solution and english not my native language,  i hope i can tell you right.

i joined the job as a sim kid and never got the last promotion as described. someone might have to be a teen for the last promotion i tried again when it was sim teen. but it didn't work. i reduced my percentage on the part that showed the percentage of performance. that is, i no longer had check mark. i got promoted when i sent it to work this way. maybe as a child i worked until i cancelled the mark, and, if i had sent it to work, it would have worked, i don't know.

I can also reproduce this. I made sure my child sim maxed the performance bar for Practical Performer before aging up to teen. Of course, since kids can't develop acting skill, on age up she still didn't have the promotion requirement:
