I have only found two solutions to this issue. One is to hire a nanny. The second is to leave one parent home full time (no job) OR move a young adult/adult in as a roommate/household member then designate that person as an adoptive caregiver.

It doesn’t even help to hire a nanny. I had the parents leave a newborn with a nanny to go to a holiday celebration. I could see that the baby was hungry, but he kept going upstairs and shushing her.
I know that’s a newborn, but I’ve had the same experience with infants. I can at least cheat the infant’s needs if I need to with UI cheats. Newborns, I just have to hope the incompetent nanny doesn’t get my baby taken away…
