[ARCHIVED] [LS] [DU] Romance Consultant Career No Benefits from any Degree

I am having the same problem. Very unfortunate if this was not coded in the game!!

This!! Feels so weird that this career doesn't have a degree, I fully expected to study it in either Psychology or at least Communications.

Psychology truly makes the most sense for a relationship counsellor!! And communications for maybe the matchmaking branch. Really hope the Sims team can patch this in. If not, I will be searching for mods for this.

Just added all univeristy degrees to my sim, and nope its not affected by any degree :/ 

This is extremely disappointing. They didn't add any cross pack compatibility with Discover University. A Communications or Psychology degree would have been perfect with the new career.

Yes this is a bit disappointing, all of the careers should have a degree assigned to them. 

I agree the psychology degree would be perfect for this career. I hope this is added soon. 

To add to it...

Usually with post-Discover University careers, while UI won't show them, they do get benefits from degrees. An example here would be Salaryperson career. Communications degree benefits the Supervisor branch, Computer Science degree benefits the Expert branch.

With the new Romance Consultant career, no degrees benefit each of the branches. I have also shared my findings here too, but in short, you won't get a head-start or signing bonus, but you will get boosted performance from the degrees.

In short, this is how it seems to be supposed to be:

• Matchmaker branch should get benefits from Communications degree.
• Relationship Counselor should get benefits from Psychology degree.

For now, if you want to get boosted performance for both branches, go for the Communications degree.

I am having the same problem

They just forgot to encode this (and some other careers as well)....Just adding 4(!!!) lines of code per career in degree tracker tuning and copypaste bonuses from the tuned career - and voila!. That confirms they "test" the pack with base game only, but even the beginner in modding can fix that. I've just made it for personal use (if everything will work as intended - I will publish this, it took me 10 minutes to make). Rest In Shame, EA.
