@hotxplace That's a good idea, eventually they can't ignore us.

I still have the same issue. No mods, no cc, have uninstalled and repaired my game and done everything I can think of. Macbook Pro 2022.

same here!! I have an M2 MacBook Pro, 2022. I recently changed my macbook from a 2016 Air because it finally gave up, and never had this problem on my intel chip. However, since using this new MacBook, I cannot for the life of me figure out why sliding left for skin tones and makeup customisation isn't working. I have predominantly dark sims and this is a BIG issue. If I had known, I would've kept my vintage MacBook just to keep playing sims--I am a big CAS simmer :////

Just to let people know of my progress on chasing down this issue...
I wrote to EA about this previously. I did get a response, but I might have lost access to the email they sent because I had to change internet companies (it's not in my case page). They said that they were aware of the problem, it was on their list of fixes, and that they asked us to be patient because it's a complicated problem to fix.
That was about six months ago, and nothing. I've counted about four or five updates since this problem surfaced, and they've done nothing. To add insult to absolute injury, they crowed in their newsletters about teaming up with Ebonix and how proud they were of their efforts to make the game as diverse as possible.
ALL WHILE ignoring an error in the game on a major platform that renders characters with any skintone darker than tan into minstrel show performers if you want to use any of the game's default makeup options. I wish with all my heart that I could say that CC fixes this issue, but it doesn't. By the very nature of the layering system, unless it's got Blending Type 3 employed (overlay), it's an opaque addition that rarely blends with darker tones because people usually make this stuff on light toned sims.
If I have to round up CC creators and cause a stink on this, I will. It's been about a year now. It's shameful. If it was something stupid like wonky placement of a shelf or a badly coded thing attached to a cupcake maker, I wouldn't care. But this is a diversity issue, and while I'm white as salty porridge and hot tea in a teapot, I know my fellow simmers who are POC and have Macs are probably frustrated as hell with this, and they shouldn't be. If they were a company that cared about diversity as they say, they should have addressed this months ago.
I've sent them a new email. I am going to keep badgering them until this is fixed. I can't be doing with it anymore, and I'm sure you are all frustrated with it as well.
