I tried the fix for PS4 and PS5 Console. It didn't work for my daughter's or my Sims 4 accounts. This just deleted all of our saves complwtely as soon as the data was deleted. I pay for four iCloud accounts (mine as well as all of my three children's accounts).
My oldest daughter is the on who plays the Sims (as well as myself). She had a legacy family save and now all of her saves are missing. When we contacted iCloud about her saves missing, they stated that they were deleted from the account linked with the iCloud account. This is the first attempted fix for the missing Reapers Rewards Plumbob icons, we were happy to try something, sadly it didn't work and now my daughter has to restart her 3 year Legacy save. Sadly all of my build saves have been deleted (I only build).
EA should have been the ones to find a fix for console players. So far I have seen several people on console who have tried the console fix (suggested by a console player). We do not blame the console player or iCloud as this is an issue that should have been fixed by EA.
EA has issued fixes for PC (of which most are still complaining about the Reapers Rewards not working), but they have issued ZERO fixes for console players. The bug fixes they have issued for console were for two packs/kits. Now they are trying to sell two new kits to players.
We have spent $1000+ for every single pack and kit that has been released so far (on both PC and two console systems), yet EA cannot fix something that they should be able to fix before releasing new packs and kits.
I will no longer buy packs or kits for the Sims 4 or any EA Games in general. Thank you to all who have done their best to help those dealing with the Reapers Rewards issues as well as any other issues with The Sims 4. The fixes didn't work and even though our PS5 is brand new and only has The Sims 4 on it linked to ONLY one account nothing has worked.
I hoped that a forum accessible through the EA website would be run and moderated by EA employees who could actually help those who have been asking for help instead of volunteers who themselves have both stated they have the ability to directly contact EA about any in game issues, then later stated they have no ability to directly contact EA directly at all. I understand the want to help others, but contradicting statements don't help the situation and just make matters worse (especially with the lack of communication directly from EA to players themselves, allowing players to know exactly what will be done to fix the issues that are happening or if there will be anything done at all to fix them).
My daughter a 16 year old child who suffers from anxiety is now the one who is suffering from anxiety caused by a game she once loved from my childhood. A game that she herself has saved up for certain kits or packs that she wanted, just to now feel unheard as a console player by EA itself.
She would like me to say thank you to all the players and volunteers who have tried to help us as well as others, but she will no longer play The Sims 4 until she hears that it is completely fixed and is without the glitches. She also requested that The Sims 4 team and EA look into having teenagers help coding the game as she has several friends who have created games and until this point (since she has discussed the issues with EA Games with them) wanted to work for EA as a game creator, but no longer want to due to EA being responsible for not properly fixing a game before releasing new packs and kits or new games so they have minimal issues with any of their games.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has tried to help us and others looking for help with the issues in game while playing Tge Sims 4 during the Reapers Rewards mishaps. We hope everyone is able to collect their rewards and able to continue to enjoy The Sims 4.
