Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Click on a non-household cat or dog in your relations tab. Invite the animal over. This includes both pets of other household and strays.
What happens when the bug occurs? The fact that this is possible is weird to me. (Although useful). But then it could also be called 'summon pet' or something like that. If you invite a stray over, the 'stray' tag of the animal is gone.
What do you expect to see? Not being able to invite pets over.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Apparently you are able to invite pets and stray animals over via the relations tab. I think this is not realistic. Instead it should be called 'summon pet' or something like that. If you invite them at night, you get a pop-up that they are sleeping. So it makes no sense, they are treated in the game like humans. If you invite a stray over, the 'stray' tag of the animal is gone.
