[FIXED] Career & Aspiration progress broken with new patch?

Maybe you could let him/her quit it's job, and cheat it back up to where they were? Hope that helps!

I have rencently had The Sims 4 update and they appear to be a bug in my game that I already saved. 

I have 9 skills in cooking and for a promotion I know 7 cooking skills. On the promotion staus it still says 0 when I have 9 and I still haven't got a promotion in chef career.

I had the skill level issue aswell, my sims was level 6 gourmet skill and my work target said I had to be level 2, it was not registering. I quit my sims job as soon as I started game up and then clicked on find job and it put me back to the same level this time the gourmet skill achievement was ticked. 

Try that to see if it works for you and remember to save your game first incase it doesn't

happening to me to with all my sims, the guy needs level 7 athletic for promotion on astronaut carrer from 7-8 level, he is on 9 athletic and it does not recognize it. the girl needs leve 8 gourmet and has level 10.. the kid has all level 4 skills it demands to get at least one to lvl 4... PLEASE FIX IT

In my case, this occured with the Renaissance Sim Aspiration.   She was required to reach level 3 in a career, she was already level 4 in Secret Agent.   I used the "aspirations.complete_current_milestone" cheat as a workaround since she had, in fact, completed the milestone.   Of course, the following milestone requires her to reach level 3 in two different careers, so I had her switch careers.   Of course, right now, she is at "0/2" for the goal.   I will come back and note if she at least gets credit for the second career since she will be reaching level 3 while having the goal.
