Sims will no longer be stuck on client's lots after completing a home decorator gig.
Fixed in Patch 1.105.297/1.87

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I accept a job > follow my sim to the job location > play the game as usual > however, when it comes time to reveal the location (which I do by selecting my sim and inviting the clients back to the lot, followed by revealing renovation to client), it does not tick off the final career task in the career tab. No matter how many times I try to get this function to work, it still does not mark off as complete.
What happens when the bug occurs? The renovation and job cannot end. My sim remains on the lot and I cannot travel home due to there being an event. I cannot cancel the event early despite trying to. There is no action to select any further actions under the interior design tasks (other than to take before and after photos). The only option I have is to "delete" the job using the trash can in the career tab, which automatically sends me home with a poor performance and no money.
What do you expect to see? I am able to complete the job tasks once my sim performs the relevant steps, then the job is complete and I can go home with my performance gains and money.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

It borks our Dream Home Decorator pack.
Would SIMS team mind counting how many people bought the Dream Home Decorator PACK instead of just counting the "me too" number in this thread? For when they calculate how much damage a bug is causing their players and using that to decide if it's worth bothering to fix.
Because it affects all of us who bought pack.
I cannot believe this problem hasn't been fixed. I just bought this pack because people loved it and then its f** broken! I'm not surpised this post is from august last year. It's very standard for the SIMS team to not fix problems but you sell new stuff. Had I known this was bugged I wouldn't have bought it - which is also the reason why i havn't bought My Wedding stories or Dine out that's been broken for litterally 7 years!!
Have the same bug... Only once a renovation gig was properly completed - first time. Second time it's broken - this is how I found this thread..
So sad to see how many people are affected and EA team is not bothered to fix it.
Does anybody knows other ways to draw EA attention? I'll join anywhere to support affected customers.
Dear users, please try to start and complete a renovation gig without your designer sim feeling in an uncomfortable, angry or sad mood. Make sure that they only have positive moods. Also, do not speed up the time, use a normal speed and a pause only.
These actions have helped me to start and finish successfully a few more reno gigs after my last posted comment.
That's not a fix or workaround, but at least we can make a save point before a gig starts and if it goes well and your sim was in a positive mood all time through - that should lead to its successful finish.
I've realised that this bug is very similar to another one I've got too ( Cat&Dogs, a thread is here ). And after my comment there one amazing user posted that these actions help him/her in a case of that bug. I do think these two bugs are the same one, and affects all game extensions which have the same pattern of an event.
Nonetheless, the EA/Sims team must investigate and fix this bug.
