[FIXED] Edge Scrolling when using Build/Buy mode

When you are in build or buy mode the edge scrolling does not work anywhere that there is a pop up for the build buy controls. The controls are in the whole bottom of the screen so im having problems scrolling down at all. I verified im on full screen mode and have edge scrolling enabled and when in live mode it works okay. Please help!

    • We now allow edge scrolling along ALL of the edges!
      • Discriminatory bottom edge practices have been outlawed, and those practicing the practices shall find no safe haven within our borders.

    Unfortunately it still doesn't work in build mode so, despite the patch notes, this is still an issue.

    This bug was fixed at some point but is now back with Patch 1.95. Please create a new thread if you are affected as there isn't one yet.

    I realize this may seem like a small issue, but it has become a huge annoyance to me.  Edge scrolling works on all sides of my screen, except for the bottom.  In other words, if I want to back up, I have to scroll out in order to complete an action that would be "behind" the camera's location. 

    I'm sure there is some simple answer to my dumb question, but I've researched it and tried everything I can think of to fix it.  I'm spent.  Please help.

    That is definatelly a strange issue. Have you tried anything like re installing it? or maybe repair install?

    does not work the same. For me it is not problem because I did not have to use anything that was no need to scroll. Maybe they'll revisit this in future updates.

    I have this problem too, although it's not localised to build/buy mode - even in live mode I can't edgescroll past the ui (there is the odd occasion I can bump it a tiny bit, but not enough to be functional).

    Did you try placing the cusor at the edge of the GUI. It turns in to a magnifyig glass. It's a bit tedious but at least it works.

    I've got the same issue and it's VERY annoying. I hope it'll be fixed (soon) :-/

    PS: OP- I use the S button on my keyboard as workaround

    For Clarification...This question is for Sims 4 but I am using an example from Sims 3.

    In Sims 3 you could move to any part of the Sims world your Sim was in by moving your mouse to the edge of the screen.  As long as you were touching the edge of the screen you would continue to move across the lot.  In Sims 4 it does the same thing for the most part but when you run into menus or toolbars it stops and you have to very carefully creep up to the edge of the menu or toolbar so make it move. 

    You had this excellent feature for any part of the edge of the screen in Sims 3 so I can't figure out why it only works as long as you don't touch anything else on the edge of the screen.  Come on...you guys are better than that aren't you?

    Please help.  This is very frustrating.
