This bug has been fixed in patch 1.0.732.20
Is there going to be a patch relased soon to fix the grafting glitches and the lost names of the cuttings?
update:
i updated the game with the patch released today loaded up my game had the sim take a cutting from a daisy and strawberry grafted one to the other the graft took and now that grafting will give me strawberry/daisy and bonsai bud
edit to add the gardener sim had one strawberry cutting in his inventory i sent a different sim to the dresser plan outfit to try on the star wars out fit when i accepted the outfit change in CAS i checked the gardener sims inventory the meta data for the strawberry cutting is lost so it looks like plan out fit is enough for the meta data to be lost not just traveling
i'll double check again in a while will edit this post again
edit edit yep had sim take cutting shows as strawberry cutting send a sim to dresser plan outfit meta data lost for the cutting
even if you have the gardner sim plan outfit the meta data is lost
Dragonplant is still bugged
It will not grow fruits
Its the same problem even if i craft it with other plants og take it from buydebug

I have a problem with the sage/basil graft, which created Parsley, but the parsley grafted as plants. What I mean is instead of 1 plant growing leaves of the herbs, it grew plants in their place. So what I had was a basil plant which had 4 or 5 parsley plants floating on it. It wasnt harvestable (I left it a while) and weeds grew on the floating plants, and could not be weeded (weeding was only possible on the base plant). However, when I'd finally had enough and changed to build/buy mode to sell it, I got a few hundred simoleons, which made it all ok 🙂
I have an issue with the Bonsai buds. I grew the grafted plant fine, harvested, and then planted the perfect bud, to create a perfect bonsai shrub... However, when I click it, the option to 'Convert to Decorative $25' is greyed out, and a quick hover tells me 'This plant muse be of Excellent quality or better to convert it into a Bonsai Tree.' It is a perfect Bonsai Shrub :/
As I write this now, I realise that it says Bonsai Tree, and I have 2 of them in a planter, therefore I will move them out to see if that affects anything... Nope, doesnt seem to have made a difference. The only option I seem to have, as it doesnt create seeds, is to sell it in build/buy mode, which sells for a rediculously low price of $25 ($45 if fertilised) yet the seeds I planted were $20, $36 or $84.
Some additional comments:
1. A note on this sage/basil graft problem: This error occurs when grafting basil onto sage, but, in fact nothing can be grafted onto basil (or at least not pomegranete, sage, UFO or trash splices). Also, selling the bugged sage/basil hybrid will put the parsley plants into the family inventory.
2. A note on the bonsai problem: also having issues with the perfect shrub not being able to be upgraded, even when placed in a planter. However, my shrub does in fact grow bonsai buds, they're just very slow coming. Went through 7/8 harvest cycles to make sure there wasn't another bonsai phase I was missing, but the shrub maintains its shrubbiness.
3. Trash plant grafts have a display error both when grafting trash to other plants, or other plants to trash plants, the float over text for the plant is missing the trash plant's name (e.g. grafting sage onto a trash plant will display 'Perfect Spliced Plant; (blank) and sage' or grafting vice versa will display 'Perfect Spliced Plant; sage and (blank)').
