[FIXED] [GF] Customer Service NPCs Don't Spawn on Community Lots

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PlayStation 5
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.84
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except For Rent
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load into a community lot that has a specific role (Barista, Bartender etc)
What happens when the bug occurs? The lot loads. Customer type Sims arrive and keep loading on the lot but the specific ones who make the lot work do not. Not only do the customer service NPC roles do not load but you can't hire them if the option is available because the game says that they are already on the lot. Tested with multiple types of lots including cafes, bars, night clubs and restaurants.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see all needed roles fulfilled by Customer Service Sims so the lot functions.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After the latest patch, 1.84, I've noticed that Customer Service NPCs do not load on their lots. If a Sim does load in their respective outfit they do not have the title associated with their role.

  • This is very frustrating because as it stands now my community lots do not function.

    You can now safely use the game setting to "Opt Out of Fame" without having any impact on NPC Sims spawning in to visit community lots.

    Fixed in Patch 1.105.297/1.87

    Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issue,

    @Bearpal64 Hm. I do have the pack installed so that could make a different + I'm not on console but it's working fine for me,

    I'll test with disabled pack.

    EDIT: Nope, also can't duplicate

    EDIT EDIT: I think I figured this one out. It's the fame settings that bork the NPCs.

    Please all set your settings this way

    If you opt out, the bug occurs.

    I need verifying of this theory though so if you could all test, that'd be great.

    @crinrict Thanks for the quick reply. I've tested multiple lots I've built and also one EA build and they all didn't spawn the required NPCs. No baristas in my cafe, no mixologists in my night club or in the EA build Karaoke Bar. The restaurant I built and visited only spawned customers but no kitchen staff or host or servers.

    Having the same issues with all mods removed. Noticed bartenders wouldn't spawn at non bar lots (i.e. bowling alleys or karaoke bars) and chef's wont spawn at restaurants either.

    I'm on a fresh clean save I made to make sure there were no other factors. Can still send it if you'd like

    When testing my restaurant (including a bar) I noticed that the barkeeper was wrongly labelled as Eco Advisor. However, she started to work after some time.

    @Bearpal64 Is this a new save you started after the new patch ?

    @BansheeGT33 Do you have an old save you could test ?

    @alanmichael1 Is it a new or old save for you ?

    Edit: I've tested this with the save sent to me and could duplicate. I started a new save and could also duplicate. Switched back to my regular game and it works fine. So it seems it's a matter of when the save was started. The odd thing is that I started my the two existing saves I tested with the early access of the new pack and they still seem fine. They were also fine during the play test so I wonder what broke. I didn't have any packs to test but there were bartenders in the normal lots. So it's either one of the expansion packs breaking this or something went south inbetween the early access (earlier this month) and now.
