[FIXED] [GTW] Detective can't interrogate suspect

Hello!

I'm a little late on the Get to Work bandwagon (I had to get up the nerve to spend those $40) and I just started playing today. Immediately, I started having issues with the Detective career (I haven't tried the other two, so who knows if there will be more bugs?). My male sim is unable to interrogate the suspect at the interrogation table.  I've looked up this issue and have seen that the solution seems to be changing the interrogation table color back to its default. My only problem is that none of the color swatches actually end up changing the table. I've tried deleting the table and placing a new one, but even the new table is unable to change color, thus rendering the table unplayable. I am using the default police station and I have no CC/mods installed. 

Also, my detective (who was going to stay late at work), was told that his work day would end in an hour. I received this notification at 6:52 pm Sim time, when he should've gotten off at 7:00. I assumed this was just a weird delay, but by the time 7 rolled around, I didn't get the notification that his work day was over. Just to test it out and see what happened, I waited until the notification finally showed up that said he was done for the day, and that notification didn't come until 10:30. This would only be a minor annoyance if it wasn't in conjunction with the interrogation table issues. 

I'm unsure if these two problems are related specifically, but with them both occurring at the same time, it seems like a real problem instead of just a quirk of the game.

I've tried repairing my game (as well at GTW individually) as well as restarting, and still nothing seems to work. Any answer would be appreciated!

    Thanks for the reply! But to answer your question, no, nothing was changed and no cheats were used. 

    Also, thank you for the link. For some reason I couldn't find that thread. I'm starting to think I'm just having an issue with time in my game. I'll start a new thread for this issue, but for some reason, my game actually went back two hours in the past. I've never had that happen before. As I said, I'll ask about that somewhere else, but it was just something to note.

    No mods and no custom content. When I click on the table, I'm asked which suspect to interrogate. I click on a suspect and the action bubble doesn't even appear. It's as if I didn't ask my Sim to do anything. 

    I doubt anything will end up fixing all of the problems I have, so I just ended up doing a clean install of my game. Hopefully this ends up working, but I doubt all of the issues will go away.

    Did you actually arrest a Sim or are you trying to interrogate the ones in the cells ?

    Just to add, because I had to clarify this on another forum as well, I issued the APD and arrested him and brought him to the station. He wasn't in the jail cell and it wasn't a suspect already in the jail cell. The suspect showed up as an option to interrogate, but after clicking on him, the action bubble failed to appear. As I said, this is the default police station. I've changed nothing about it, so it's not a routing issue. My officer can sit at the table but not actually use it. The officer can also interact with the suspect (taking fingerprints, etc.) so that's not the problem either.

    Did you also try the next day ? Could you quit your job and rejoin or have another Sim join the detective career to see if it's Sim related (just for testing purposes) ?

    The next day the same thing ended up happening. When I restarted the career, it happened again. I haven't tried yet on another save, but my hopes aren't high.
