[FIXED] [OR] Sims stuck at campfire during weenie roast

During weenie roast before they all freeze like you mentioned, all they really do is hang out, add logs and roast marshmallows.  There should really be some kind of time limit on adding logs as it just looks ridiculous to have them throwing logs on the fire like every sim minute. Not a bug but annoying. The freezing is definitely a bug and needs to be fixed. 

I have failed every weenie roast social event because of this. It takes 12 hours to cook 1 hot dog and everyone is stuck at the fire until I reset the lot.

I've experienced the same problem time and time again.

I've tried removing all mods, but that didn't make a difference.

I did find that I can "get around" the problem by saving and exiting the game once it freezes. This allows me to move on a certain amount once the game reloads - before the freeze happens again.

Is this still happening ?

Just letting you know I had it happen no CC.  All packs (can't remember them all) and patches are up-to-date.  Started party tried to roast hotdog and it bumped the sim to restart so I tried again and froze everyone in place.  I tried to cancel the event and time stopped.  Deleted the campfire and time started again including a notice that my sim had gone to work at the regular time and a chance card even though he was the one stuck.  Weird

I haven't had any issues myself either.

Where did you have the event ? In Granite Falls or your house ?

Was it during the Sims work hours ?

I have had this happen to me the couple times I've attempted a weenie roast. Both attempts were at my sim's house. First time she got stuck grilling, second time stuck telling a story.
