    Sims will no longer obsessively open and close their umbrellas while walking to chat with another Sim.

    Fixed in Patch 1.54.120

I had the same thing happen. I think probably since umbrellas came out in the seasons expansion. The entire umbrella function needs an overhaul. So many bugs associated with them.

If I had more time i'd make a bunch of videos showing them, but most are already mentioned in the various bug topics in this forum.
