[FIXED] Sims can't cook/can't use fridge

So this finally happened to me as well:

• Are you using a laptop or a dekstop computer ? Desktop
• What are your basic specs (Processor, Graphics Card, RAM, Operating System, Free disc space) ? Toaster: I3, Nvidia GT120, 4GB, Win7 Home64, 526GB free of 685
• Do you have any files called lastexception.txt (in the folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\) with a date that close to the first occurrence of the bug ? (if so, please upload the file to some file sharing site and include the link in your post). Explanation below
• Do any of the above workaround work for you and if so, which one ? Just restarting game (the only one tried)
• Does the issue reoccur after a while ? Don't know yet
• Are you using custom content or mods in your game ? Had recently started using MC career mod to stop job assignment for inactives.
• At what point did you give the command when you first encountered the issue (ex.: Sims was sleeping and cooking was queued, Sim was doing nothing and just sent to cook) ? I can give a full list of everything done from between last night when it worked, to today when it didn't. See below.
• Are all the Sims in your household affected or only certain ones ? All
• What happen if you switch active households ? Do they have the bug as well ? Yes
• If you then switch back, do the existing Sims still have the issue ? Yes
• What career does the Sim have that first made the bug occur ? Business 6 and TechGuru 6 (2 queued up at the same time)
• Anything else you think important ?

The game worked last night. The last thing one of my sims did was grab leftovers from the fridge, while another sim was out collecting. Sims was still eating when I paused, used money cheat to decrease household funds by 1k, entered build mode, bought 5 items (list can be provided), saved as and exited game. The only exception from yesterday was from 12 hours (real time) previously when another family had 2 sims in OR roasting beetles at the same time, and action cancelled on both right before finishing.

List of things done today:

Load last save

Manage households to delete 5 new townies.

Load next household in rotation.

Cheat to fullfill needs household, so they can redo their daily tasks again before work/school.

Husband sim (Business Managment level 6):
-Fill out reports
-Psych self up in mirror
- Brush teeth
- Play chess (abort)
- Go to work

Wife sim (Tech Guru level 6):
- View focused work
- Browse simpedia
- Hack Crumplebottom
- Continue modding Refuge (abort)
- View focused work
- Go to work

Child sim:
- Dominate homework
- Play chess (aborted)
- Go to school

Parents set to work hard
3 "chance cards" received

Child sim:
Confirmed to bring friend home from school
-Dominate homework
- Observe the skies with telescope

Parents came home:
Husband sim:
-embrace wife
-try to calm down (she was angry)
- tell funny story (got canceled by the game when the wife autonoumously scared husband, autonomy is off)

- Make fun of corporate goons

-Queued up take slice from cake on both husband and wife, husband set to watch tv (cooking channel) after. Take slice (in fridge) was dropped from both. As it sometimes bugs when multiple people go to the fridge, I set just the wife to take slice - it cancelled out immediately. Took cake from fridge and had both take slice, and it worked. They went on with their day and I thought it was just the cake being an issue until the father tried cooking another cake later and it just took the money but kept cancelling.
Grab a serving will cancel whatever they are doing (all sims in household) and everything else that might be queued.

Decided to try and find out when the fridge stopped working, so saved as a new game, then exited to main menu, to load the save with the start of the day, and checked if fridge worked then - it didn't. Tried changing active household to the last one played where fridge did work before saving and logging off last night. Their fridge didn't work either now. 

So I failed at finding out when it stopped working, since once it is bugged it stays bugged for all even when loading previous working save, whereas restarting the game fixed all savepoints (including the test save made after the bug appeared) for the 2 households I checked.

The last exception file that was created when I first encountered the bug, got overwritten (or updated? I just noticed new timestamp) by my tests (oops). Is it still useful? I don't use any file sharing sites, so wont bother signing up for one if it is useless.

 Edit to add: I tried replaying the day and do exactly the same as before. It made me realise I had 3 errors in the above:

It was 7 households deleted, and not 5.
I forgot the husband bought the Independent trait, right before or after cheating to fill needs.
Child sim aborted chess to do extra credit, then went to school.

On the replay, none of them got chance cards, wife got promoted, had to direct her to scare husband, but that didn't cancel his funny action, and the fridge still works.
