    This particular issue seems to be fixed.

    If you are still having issues with greyed out Symbols, please create a new thread.

    Greyed out symbols are usually a symptom with many different causes so if this occurs again, it's likely to be a new issue.

I had the same issue as the last person, my sim got greyed out, and my first instinct was to relaunch the game, which led to the sim not showing at the bottom in the household member list of portraits. I tried removing the mods, repairing the game, and so on, but what fixed it was opening the family in CAS and then exiting, if that's any help for another person. Now my sim is back to having a normal looking portrait, and actually showing there.
