I thought maybe it was because of the pedestal sinks vs counter with inset sink. I think it happens less with the counters that have an inset sink. I swapped out a pedestal sink for that and it seemed to be better. I will play later and swap ALL pedestals out for counter with sink and see how it goes. (Anyone else try this?)
- MoneyBrozYT3 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@CathieCMR i tried but it happens with every sink.
- 3 years ago@MoneyBrozYT @simsplayer818 So weird. It seems to have fixed it in my sim's house. I'll keep watching though.

This is interesting to me because the last two bugs I posted on have many pages and appear to be going on for quite some time.
Most of these bugs are happening to me but are fairly recent.
I have this issue as well. They go to the toilet, get up and proceed to walk to another bathroom sometimes up or down the stairs even to wash their hands.
I have started clicking the nearest sink to route them back. It takes up so much of their time. IRL, you might use another sink if you are out of hand soap.
Fill the hand soap EA GAMES! lol

I have an idea but i don't know how well it would work. While the sim is on the toilet, click the sink in the bathroom and when they go to wash their hands immediately cancel the automatic action that pops up.
- merrysimmaker3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@MoneyBrozYT This is what I've tried to do when I catch it happening. It does work, sometimes I have to cancel the other action sending them to another sink.
I thought at one point someone mentioned it was because they are always seeking the better sinks (which is why they keep washing dishes or making food on other counters outside of the kitchen-better cabinet/sink) but in all my recent home builds I've made a point to pick a medium level sink and put the same dang one (cabinets too) in every room they are needed. The only exception is the new growing together sink is stand alone so I'll put those in all bathrooms and an in cabinet sink in the kitchen. Then they still walk from one bathroom to the next but the sink is literally identical so I can't prove that as the issue.

I fixed it by cloning the sink in build mode and then selling the other one. So it's definitely something to do with the sinks. However this is only temporary and will happen again eventually.

It seems like they should just use the nearest sink but nope. They walk into someone's ensuite to wash the dishes or they trot off to a different floor to wash their hands. It's totally illogical.
