@AlianoreBS Do you have the issue only when you have to do a specific task or also if you just use it ? I gave this a short test and it worked fine for me.

In the medical career, it only happens when analyzing a patient sample. If I have the sim Practice Analysis, it will not occur. This has occurred with two sims, but I do not have more than one game save as I am playing a legacy family.
Also, the primary sim in this career has patient samples that I am unable to destroy in their inventory. I thought it might be related to that as I cannot figure out what it could be, but I am also not fond of this theory as the same issue occurs with another sim in the Science profession.

Could you start a new one for testing purposes to see if it's isolated to your save game ?
