[HR] Cannot enter ultimate horse championship

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.264.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions up to Horse Ranch except Journey to Batuu, all game packs, and all stuff packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Choose "Enter Competition" on the board.
What happens when the bug occurs? Despite having multiple qualified horses on the lot (both have gold medals in all other competitions and level 10 in all horse skills and one has already placed in the ultimate championship), the Ultimate Horse Championship is not a selectable option.
What do you expect to see? I expected that option to be open.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Update for and installation of Horse Ranch.

I have tried traveling to the equestrian center to enter there with the same participants, I have tried entering different combinations of sims and horses, including a sim and horse who have won together before, and none of them work.

    @SimShine   Hi!  This is terrible!  I'm still working through the competitions and it is taking FOR.EVER.  lol

    In your image I see there is a red lightning bolt icon on the horse thumbnail.  I haven't seen that before and I don't know what it means.  Do you get a tooltip popup when you hover over that?

    It really is taking forever, I got my one sim through all of them without much trouble. It was time-consuming but expectedly so. Then I started on this second sim and I am literally one challenge away from finishing the aspiration, which should make any of the offspring from those two horses a lot more valuable, but here we are haha!

    I don't have the game open right this minute, but it's due to the horse having something wrong with their mood (usually fun, they've completely quit playing with the ball now), and when you hover it tells you that their mood isn't great and that can affect their performance.

    Do you get a tooltip if you hover over the greyed out checkmark button? The ultimate horse championship is only available on Saturdays, so this might be a possible reason.

    I have the same problem. My horse had gold in all possible races. It is Saturday. But I can't enter any competitions, it's like I have already entered with that horse that day or like when a horse is pregnant. However, my other two horses that are not eligible to enter are available to enter competitions and they are showing on ultimate horse championship page, despite the fact that I can't actually use them to enter. Please, anyone any tips?

    @Baru1998 Did you try just waiting until the next Saturday and make sure your eligible horse doesn't compete that day and is not pregnant ?

    Well, the horse did not compete that day and is not pregnant. I was just describing how it looks like on the page where we enter competition. And I actually made a copy of my safe file and tried waiting a week. Still nothing... :/

    Okay, so just now, I figured it out. Not sure why, but I had to enter both other horses I own into competitions before I was able to enter the third horse into ultimate championship. Hope it helps someone.

    The only other thing I did was go on a ride with the horse, but I just tried to enter championship in recovered safe file without the ride and it really seem like it had nothing to do with it. Same problem, same solution. But thanks for advice anyway. 🙂

    It would be helpful if it had something on there saying you can only does this on x day and have x done. That would get rid of a lot of confusion.
