[HSY] [GRO] No Milestone for graduating from high school

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1230
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs, including rental. Too many stuff packs to name.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Aging my super teen, unable to get graduate from high school milestone but I can get valeratorian trait and aged up milestone.
What happens when the bug occurs? I blow out B-day candle, and grow into young adult. Every time even if I transfer my super teen to a new world.
What do you expect to see? No graduate from high school milestone.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Does anyone else of this issue of not getting the graduate from high school milestone after aging up a teen to young adult?

Is there a cheat to add the milestone without 3rd party software?

I got my Valeratorian trait and aged up milestone to young adult.

If I drop out or graduate early, the milestones are present.

I did spend years Sims time as a teen because of the HSY bug for Live Fast.

  • I did some testing by installing Sims 4 with only HSY and growing together on my Macbook (no mods), and a new brand teen in a brand new world was created.

On game start, I immediately aged the teen into young adult.

The result is similar to my original game, and there was no Graduate from High School milestone, but Aged Up milestone (in Young Adult) was present.

I saw no Graduation Ceremony in my calendar, and no diploma in my household inventory right after aging up.

The next day (Monday), I received the diploma in my household inventory after collecting mail, and calendar invite from Grad Ceremony showed for the following Sunday from 6 to 11:30 PM, but there was still no Graduate from High School milestone.  (For those with "Did not receive calendar invite for Grad Ceremony", perhaps just wait until the next day until you receive you diploma).

I sped though the week and into next Sunday for Grad Ceremony, and I got the reminder to join Ceremony.  I attended the ceremony and got my ceremony diploma + photo, but still no milestone.

So, despite the many website that claims there's a Graduate from High School milestone, I was unable to get it.

    This is my theory:

As soon as I aged up my teen sim, they are already a young adult, but the Graduate from High School milestone restricted to a teen, and the game is unable to add the milestone to my sim.  This is probably an order of operation problem.  Please fix!

As per my prior post, the milestones for Drop Out of High School and Early Graduation from High School worked fine because the sim would still be a teen when they left high school.

@DaddyoTrash i have experienced the problem you are describing exactly. I could not find any solution in the game and decided to solve it with mods. with ui cheats, milestone can be added, but only those belonging to the current age are added. i couldn't add graduation milestone as my Sim is no longer a teen. I found a mod of Lumpinou on patreon ([Mod] Milestone Cheats: ADD /REMOVE any milestone in Any age, and some Extra Cheats! (requires 'Growing Together') - Sims 4 Mod" ). With this, milestone from past ages can be added. I tested if the milestone will disappear when I delete the mod and it is not lost.
  • @DaddyoTrash I am having the same issue! no mods, all packs/kits and tried different save files w different teens attempting to get the graduated hs milestone but it doesn’t work! only milestone i can get regarding graduation is graduating early as well; this is really messing up my current storyline :///

I agree. There is such a milestone in-game as the game even suggests working towards the milestone.

And looking through the tuning files, I find nothing saying that the normal graduation also occurs when teens are nearing the young adult stage. Just when your sim becomes a young adult.

So yeah, either make the milestone available to adults too or add the milestone when the age up animation begins.
