[NEEDS INPUT] Floor tiles placed next to object and chairs remove it on ground

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Polski
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.51.77.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? City living,Seasons, Parenthood, Vintege glamour stuff and Bowling night stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Put a table, a dresser, a desk, a kitchen island or a chess table on the ground and assign a chair. Then place a floor tile nearby.
What happens when the bug occurs? A floor tile placed near a table or other objects with a chair, removes a chair with a table or just a chair.
What do you expect to see? I want the floor tiles put up don't remove the table or other objects with chairs.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This bug probably came with a patch from April 2019.

The recording presents this bug. The area on the lot is flattened https://youtu.be/zS1klJQ67zM

    @Kwarcdymny1 Same as the other

As Bryony is currently taking a break, this will not be added to the list but QA is aware of it.

I have also had issues sometimes where things are being deleted by placing other things (or deleting other things, moving walls, placing a lot, etc.). Partly probably because I use enlarge and Moo a lot in builds. This makes my placement and usage testing a real pain sometimes for me. If your chairs/table are being deleted, I would guess it's one of the following: glitch/bug or error in your game, the effect of something like moo, enlarging, the way something was placed, or that the mods/cc you removed have remnant effects that need to be cleaned up after (remove the mod folder and clear cache and repair the game).

My test in similar table areas in a couple of my builds:

I would recommend first doing the following to make sure that there is not any remnant effect from the mods/cc, just in case:
    • Exit your game then exit Origin. Copy the Mods folder from your 'The Sims 4' folder onto your desktop (for future reference) then delete the mods folder and the localthumbnailcache.package file in your 'The Sims 4' folder and restart the game and so that the game will re-create the folder.
    • Then run a game repair [ Open Origin, click 'Game Library' then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game ]. Make sure to let it run until it has completed all repairs (it will do the basegame first, then run through each of your expansions/packs). After that, please see if the issue has stopped.

If It fixes the situation I would recommend that you check with the Mod and CC creators to see if there are any known issues with their Mod/CC clashing with the update and if so do they have an updated Mod/CC that will address the changes in the game's code from the update. You can then re-add your updated Mods/CC one at a time to see if one was conflicting with the function/causing the glitch - but do not re-add the old config file from the old mods folder, as it is possible for it to have become corrupted also.

  • @SheriGR I specifically tested this bug on a game that has never dealt with cc and mods, so this bug applies to all players. It occurs only when I put a floor tile next to the table with chairs on the ground not on the foundation (I flattened the ground, so it is not the incline).
