Hi all. I have never been able to get the Channel Surfer achievement. This time around, I made a new sim and moved him into an empty lot. I bought the Landlord Whisperer and the GeniusVision Flat Screen Television, leveled up my sim to handiness 9 and had him upgrade both for super reception. I also leveled up my sim, who has the music lover trait and musical genius aspiration, to level 2 on piano, violin, and guitar.
On the radio, I listened to the following stations: Alternative, Blues, Classical, Electronica, Kids Radio, Lullabies, Pop, Retro, Romance, Spooky, and Winter Holiday. With the stereo off, I chose the "Listen to..." option then chose a station. I also had the sim, who also has the dance machine trait, dance to each station (except Classical for which there is no dance option) and "Listen deeply" to each station. I did not cancel any interactions; I let him listen or dance for as long as he wanted to, then turned the stereo off and repeated for the next station. I *do not* see any option for "Appreciate Blues/Classical".
On the TV, I listened to the following stations: Action, Comedy, Cooking Channel, Fireplace, Kids Network, Music TV, News, Romance, and Sports. With the TV off, I chose the "Watch channel..." option and then chose a station. I let the sim watch for ~30 in-game minutes, then cancelled the interaction, turned the TV off, and repeated for the next station.
I have had my sim's needs maxed out with no decay. I have also tried, with different sims, to watch and listen to all the stations available, not just base game, and with normally decaying needs that I naturally filled. I have removed all my mods.
Any help appreciated. Thanks!
