Just to rule out everything first, is everyone playing on PC? Have you tried restarting your PC, launching the game only with no other programs in the background to see if you have the option to close those pop-ups?

I play on an HP laptop, which I believe counts as a PC. Yes, I was able to get rid of the ad only by restarting my computer, and may I say how extremely disruptive that was. (By the way, closing the EA app also did not get rid of the ad, which I forgot to mention before). I had to close the game, close all the programs and applications that I was using to do some work, etc. It was very inconvenient. When the computer finished restarting, the ad was gone from my computer screen, and when I eventually got around to restarting the game, the ad was also gone from it. However, having to do all this was annoying and I certainly don't want to have to shut everything down, exit the game, and so on, every time a pop-up ad appears (especially as I already own all the packs and kits, except for Journey to Batuu, which I wouldn't take for free). So I really hope that EA fixes this problem, or, better yet, gets rid of pop-up ads altogether.
Same here! Today I got this ad and I could NOT click it away! It kept staying there no matter how many times I clicked on the x!
Then I went to my Desktop and looked at the settings in the EA App, while the game was still running. When I unchecked "Offers", it went away immediately.
I'm not exactly sure if it was just a coinsidence, but it went away the second I unchecked "offers". We'll see if it comes back. I'll give an update.
Oh, and I play on PC.
