I'm having this issue as well and did have the cursed book event prior. I'm having fires almost as fast as I can put them out. Generally it is a chair that spontaneously combusts (not the same chair each time, but quite consistently a chair). No one is cooking, I have no fireplaces, radiators, etc. in this apartment, and the chairs are not near anything at all that generally triggers a fire. The most recent chair was at a chess table in a small office with only electric lighting and a desk /chair/computer set-up in the room aside from the chess table set-up.
