i'm having the same issue but after it happens i'm unable to load that game again, when i go to manage world and then try to re-enter the lot it does an endless loading screen. i have to close the game in task manager, and if i try to load that save again it does endless loading screen every time. i have to recover a previous save, usually one where the sim isnt at their home lot.
i've had to do all kinds of things like bulldoze the lot and replace it with the same one (i saved it to my gallery), temporarily relocate the sim, etc. i had the issue with one save that i gave up and didnt troubleshoot all and just deleted because it was early on, and now a second save i've persisted with and it is happening constantly and making the whole thing pretty unplayable.
not sure if it's just this save that's rekt or it's an issue that will eventually happen to any save, but lmk if any tech support ppl want to see the files/error log
This has happened to me a few times on Xbox Series X with all packs. My Sims leave me behind. I just use their thumbnail image to switch back to them on their home lot. It's happened mostly at Snowy Escape and City Living Festivals as I send them home one by one. I expect to follow the active Sim home but I'm left on the lot. It hadn't happened for a while but it happened last week.
