    I had a similar problem initially (placed the treehouse at the WIllow Creek park) but the treehouse loaded properly once I travelled elsewhere and reloaded into the lot.

Yeah, I had some San Myshuno Sims build a treehouse in the Oasis Springs park. They added a slide pole before they left and it’s not usable, alas.

 I’ll try deleting it and rebuilding a new one.

[edit] I can confirm that not adding any upgrades and traveling allowed the treehouse to function as usual, even if it looked weird when we left.

if leaving a lot and returning later, can you add Upgrades?

    @Applecorn80 In my experience with this, you can add upgrades, but they don't show up unless you leave the lot and come back. Unfortunately, it's the same process for me as building the treehouse by itself, then leaving and coming back.
