I'm loving that I can create my own stores now and watch all the sims I made living throughout all Sims 4 regions, work and shop together. But there's one problem I've not seen posted here yet that makes it slightly annoying to play. If you have speakers placed in your store that play music, all sims and customers as soon as they can, start dancing to the music all the time and end up chatting about the weather instead of asking work questions or more importantly, ringing up customers after they've said they're ready. You have to constantly stop them from dancing or listening to music before you can ask them to ring up Sims. I wouldn't mind as much if they constantly tallked to sims about the buisness topics and ring them up as soon as the option was there but at the end of the day, it is a shop/store, not a disco or nightclub. I'd be freaked out if I walked into a high end, posh looking clothes store and everybody was just dancing like mad hatters to very calming New Age music lol. Also, I don't know if this is a problem, intended or not but after you do buy or start working at your store, it still says you've not got a job/working career on your Sim's information panel in the corner. That's the issue I and I assume others currently have when playing Get To Work as well, so thanks for reading.

I've tested it with and without mods and sent you the game save without the mods.The type of speaker used around the shop is Venue Wall Speaker Easy Listening.I've also placed a Jumpin Joe's Jukebox on the upper floor as a feature/decoration and not an item for sale, which plays Easy Listening most the time.It's a custom made shop called Jules' Gifted Dressers in San Myshuno.It's a replica of the same shop I first created in Newcrest which had the same problem, so it can't be a location problem.One of the sims I was using who owns the shop and a customer sim were both dancing by the Jukebox when I last saved it. This was during a period when two customers were ready to buy items and the owners still didn't stop and go to finalise the deals.It may be that the Jukebox isn't officially considered shop type furniture so Sims still treat it as a household device.But still, Sims shouldn't be dancing about when working in shops lol, especially to Easy Listening stuff. They should be auto tuned to serve customers as soon as the options there, if they aren't assigned to anything else.Or at least give the shop speakers a pop or club music option to make it feel not as weird lol

My sims certainly seem less interested in future tasks once the original tasks have been completed or if they've closed and opened up shop again without leaving said shop. Nearly most of the time, if tasks want to be done, I have to assign them manually.Employed staff/sims tend to keep completing jobs/tasks once you've assigned them(ringing up, replacing stock etc.) unlike the owner sims but once a gap of free time appears, instead of just generaly talking to customers or doing other tasks that may be available if the assigned one isn't, they can end up succumbing to the dance craze too. And because you can't completely control them like the owners without using the add to family cheat which I'd rather not, it can be more difficult to get them back to work sometimes.

Ok, I thought a new question had to be asked because it was a specific problem that wasn't exactly the same as and had less to do with the Ring Up problem.And yes they do stop. They still chat a lot more informally than actually talking about the buisness but no speakers or music system does stop the dancing.But I prefer having the music playing since loads of furniture or clothing shops do so in real life.

Of course. I understand where you're coming from. IRL, customers don't dance to the music either.

It's always hard to decided what needs a new thread and what can be posted in others since there's so many factors. There's a lot of threads in here that have similar issues in one thread that can have multiple causes.

I'll add this as separate though since you wanted to complain about the dancing more than about the ring up which is just a side effect :D

Hi there, I'm now replying from the account I regularly use when actually playing the game as I had to sign up again a while back when I bought Sims 4 for some reason.

A question for me to solve later but useful to know what direction to take. Is there a way or section of EA/Origin to contact and ask if they can transfer my 316Deadman yahoo.com profile and all it's games and save data to my actual and original yahoo.co.uk nWo_4_Ever profile, now that I can access it again?
I had the original .co.uk profile when Sims 3 was released but technical problems occurred whenever I kept trying to log in and I ended up never using Sims 3 or origin again until I had to make an account again for Sims 4(which works wonders for me, so well done), but I couldn't access or log in with the original account, until around the time I started this question.
And I'd rather not have to buy all the games and expansions all over again on my original account lol

But back to this important topic...

I was playing again the other day and my characters who owned the shop, still went straight upstairs and after a few seconds of entering, started dancing next to the jukebox and wall speakers in the shop. Customers joined across the upper floor not long after.(This is still after I placed a new replica shop and moved the same household, all to the new City Living map and had them repurchase the other shop).

So the issue's still there making them act like disco waitresses to ambient and classical music lol

I'd like to see if it's possible to do something like disable the dance and listen to music features/options in retail stores or something a bit similar, as it does often stop them working, buying or selling items.

And trying that also means you can then hopefully still have a playing stereo/jukebox and speakers in your store without trouble.

I'm away at a wedding currently but if I can snap a photo of it occurring when I'm back home tonight or tomorrow, I'll try and upload it to here and also in the way you mentioned too, as well as giving the name of speakers and stereo/jukebox type used in the shop.
