When switching household, the player has the option to play a Sim who is at a career lot whether they are in the career or not. If the Sim visits the lot during work hours, the Sim is able to interact with the objects and perform tasks like they are at work but they don't have a progress bar or timer.
When you choose another Sim that is not on that lot, does that Sim that's on the career lot show as away and you have to switch to him to get him back home ?
I had that a lot but that part was fixed for me with one of the patches so wondering if that is also still an issue.

Pity. Guess the patch just reset my faulty Sim then.
