No, I’ve uninstalled the game - installed the game and it’s still happening. I saw an older post on here where someone said it might have been a setting but wasn’t specific. I’m so lost on what to do. I can’t play the game otherwise. Or I’ll have to play with single households but that’s boring.
@MrsChief2017 Do you have Mods/CC? If you do you could test with them removed as follows:

Try moving the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can test without saving in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue, then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
If you're purchasing a business the whole household comes with you for the initial visit to the lot, and as mentioned already, if you were traveling for a purpose in which that made sense, but normal travel should just be the active Sim, unless you choose someone from the pop-up to go with them.
Does this happen on a new game save and does it happen if you play a Sim in a different household?
