This is one of the reasons why I don't travel much in the game. Random sims approach my sims (even when there is a group outing) and despite trying to cancel the interaction, it doesn't cancel and I have to try again once the sim actually reaches mine. What bothers me is that not long after canceling the NPC who wanted to talk to me, they'll constantly try to talk to my sim again, going through the process all over again. It's like, "I didn't want to talk to you a few minutes ago, why are you trying to talk to me again?" This is about as annoying as sims constantly asking my sim to be best friends despite the continual rejection. Some sims are just persistent.
