Please use this thread going forward: Discovery Quests won't go away/Constant Messages popping up | EA Forums - 5018905
I've disabled the entire Tips and Tutorial section but I keep getting popups in game. I took out all script mods, I repaired my game, I tried reverting changes and then turning them off, I've cleared my caches, but I don't know what could be causing this.
The modder Zero has a mod to nuke discovery quests. I haven't had to click away a single discovery quest since installing it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and all game packs. This has allowed me to play in new saves without this problem occurring. However, the save that I had been playing the event with as well as other saves I started during the event continue to have this issue. I always have the discovery quests disabled.
I miss my Sim!
Sorry for the late reply but I did turn them off for the save and it hadn’t changed anything. I did eventually fix it but I had to uninstall and reinstall the game. Since then the issue hasn’t occurred again.
Where did you disable them ? On the main menu or the save game ?
The chess issue has a thread in bugs somewhere.
