Did you also try on a fresh save or just on one specific one ? If not, could you try that to find out if it's save game related ?

Fresh save insofar that I started a new game with the same character? Yes. That's the "export, import" I'm referring to in my last post.

For the sake of troubleshooting the problem, I made a completely brand new character in a completely new world. Same issue nonetheless.

As far as getting paid, I've gotten paid for mobile games, but not for video. This has been my only attempt to publish video games before - I've never tried it before this glitch started happening. The other post sounds like it has the same exact issue I am having.

I also have an issue with this. 

It seems my game is stuck at 99% finished video game so every time I try to do it, it says "Continue making video game" and is finished in 3 secs, then it asks me to name and I get royalties but no initial pay. I have made 20 video games like this now.

I too have the "Continue Creating a Game" issue, where i get the pop up window asking me to name the finished game (My sism's lvl is 10 in programming) I tested it and gave it consecutive names like Sims1, Sims 2, and so on (not that name but you get it) every day i get the notification for royalties and i see every game listed........so im banking. 

Thats all, just wanted to brag. no, not really. Im quite bothered since i want my sim to earn his cash! Please Help!

I mean as far as bugs go I guess it's not the worst thing in the world, I've been just performing the "continue working on game" action every few (sim) days to emulate as though he was actually working on the game... but still would like it fixed. 

@crinrict I have more information as well. I created a completely new Sim in a different save. Got him up to programming lvl 10, created 1 video game as intended and had to actually work on it. Did not get paid when the game was completed, but royalties began the next day. The next game I tried to create, the bug presented itself again. The issue continues to only affect Video Game creation, and does not affect Mobile App creation, Game Modding, Plugin creation, or Hacking. For both of the sims on which I've experienced this issue, the bug does not appear until after one or two successful video game creation efforts.

I'm having the same issue here, just installed the game today cause i was feeling nostalgic and it's stuck on "Continue Making Video Game" and completes immediately infinitely

I am having what I believe to be the same issue, though the commenter’s description of the bug is better than the OP. The issue isn’t just not getting paid, but rather not actually making the game. It asks for a name for the game, and when you go to the computer again it offers to let you continue making a computer game which will just trigger it to ask for a name once again. No time is spent trying to program the game, and it never gets completed, much less paid for. I have named the game a dozen different times. I have never used or installed any mods at all and have never used any cheat codes. 

I am having this problem with making a game and also making an app. So now i cant make apps or games. This is happening on my xbox one x.

yeah I’ve been having the exact same problem.  My sim just won’t finish the video game.  I select continue making video game and it prompts me to name it but after I select ok the sim just stays sitting at the computer and the task I assigned immediately disappers.  When I go back to program... it still shows continue making video game and the same thing happens when I try again.  I’ve also tried getting rid of all of my mods and cc and no difference occurred.  How do we fix this???

Just adding myself to the list of affected players.  Had Travis Scott level up programming.  Couple mobile apps earn him royalties, then had him make a video game.  Can't complete, just gives me the option to name the game over and over.  No CC ever.  I wish there was a compilation somewhere of the top twenty unresolved glitches of Sims 4, so that I could learn to avoid them lol!  ....course, lmk if there is one in existence 😉

Not sure if you were being sarcastic at the end (if you were, apologies) but @crinrict does keep a list of all bug reports under active investigation. I’m on my phone right now but when I get to my computer I can post the link.
