[EDIT: Sorry, I re-read the "Compiled List of Bugs" thread and saw that this bug has been recognised by the community. I don't know if me saying that the problem still exists is useful or not. Maybe it'll help bring more developer attention to it? If not, and this is redundant, feel free to delete the thread.]
My Sim is level 6 in programming, and the message telling me that I would now be able to hack my work performance did appear when I got there. However, when I actually look around on the action menu of my Sim's computer, the option to do so does not appear.
I have tried to do it on a couple different computers, but it didn't make a difference. I have also tried it on two different Sims, separated by a game repair/uninstall/reinstall, and still the option does not appear.
I've had this problem for months, well into last year. I was looking around the internet for solutions and saw that a few other people were getting this bug too, but it seems it still hasn't been fixed. Do the game developers even recognise the existence of the bug at all? I'm not sure whether I used to be able to do it back when I originally bought the game; if the problem developed after a patch later on, or if it's always been there; I'm sorry but I don't remember.
Can anyone help me? Does anybody else still get this problem?
