I don't think it's due to being an apartment or rental. I think it's because the wall is connected to outer walls.
This lot was never an rental but the doors stay visible, which I think is due to their location, ie being on a wall that connects to the outside walls. As it shows the bathroom door is visible in the screenshot that shows the walls down. It was also always a tiny lot.

No, the issue mentioned in this thread has nothing to do with the door placement and the wall being connected. The issue affects all the doors regardless of where they are placed on the wall, not just one or two doors. This issue is specific to lot types such as apartments, dorms and now rentals and it does not affect plain residential builds.

Your only post on this form was to attack my answer and tell me the issue is not in my build! All you had to do was look at the last screenshot of the upload and you can clearly see the bathroom door in the walls down screenshot that the game takes on every lot that is saved to the gallery or library.
