Not OP, but I have the same issue. I tried it both with mods and without but the result didn't change.

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

When I opened a new save without any mods it worked. I assume maybe some Mod caused that save to get corrupted.

I had this same issue - I thought it might be an outdated mod or something, but removing them didn't work. Miraculously, I realized that entering buy mode on my home lot and then switching back to live mode fixed the issue of the rental property not showing up in the "owned businesses" tab? I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else, but it's worth a shot!

I’m running into the same issues, no mods and I’ve gone through Origin to “repair files.” Every time I try to view for tenants after purchasing a residential rental and setting it up completely, it makes me go back home and once I’m home the business icon tells me I don’t own any residential rentals. 

I have heard a few complaints with previous game and expansion packs for terrible bugs and lack of fixes so I don’t know why I’m surprised. It’s incredibly disappointing considering this was a known issue prior to release according to community posts, and I’ve spent a lot of time building my apartment in preparation to own. 

@EA please figure out what the issue is and release a patch fix ASAP! This issue has caused the expansion pack to be completely unplayable. I don’t know what else to do to resolve this issue, and I’ve dug around and others have the same issue with zero resolution.

Going home > Going into Build-Buy > Go back into live mode and the menu of my tenants is back!

I don't mind hopping between BB and LM for a while as long as the landlord system works whilst waiting for a patch that fixes this overall.

I've got the same Problem. And I dont use any mods so its not a mod issue. I used the pre-made house from the game, after deleting one flat i am no longer the owner but I still own it...? Also I cant add any more flats. 

I will try to clear cache. 

I have the same problem  and found the only way to get the residential rental  panel back up is to go in build mode minute and back to live mode it comes back up with all the property's you own
