I also have this issue but only since around Aug-Sept 2022. Before this the pack worked fine.
I do have mods and CC and the CC washer and dryer I have don't have this issue, it's just with the ones that came in the pack.
Mine is buggy too. It might work sometimes, when it's brand new, so I end up selling and buying a new one, but having to do this multiple times a day is a pain. Resetting the machines doesn't help, the only thing that does is selling and buying them over and over again. I think until they fix it, they should make the washers and dryers cost as much to sell as they do to buy, so you don't constantly get shortchanged through no fault of your own.
So weird. I'm playing with a butler for the first time, and I've noticed that they can use the washer and dryer with no problems at all. Pristine laundry every time. But if I try to have any of the sims I actually control use the machines... problems.
It's really amazing to me that EA would release a pack whose main function is glitched and do nothing about it for years. We should have all gotten refunds or a free pack in return for this mess. Over 900 "me too's" on this thread and this bug isn't even on the (ironically named) laundry list. smh
@elmomoo52 Which mods do you use? I'd love to try them, I've just basically had to play without laundry for a few years, since even the cc machines I've tried to use don't work. I'd love to be able to give something else a try! :D
