    Hi @MadamePhew

    Please move your mods folder to the Desktop and be sure to delete the localthumbcache.package. Once you've done that, test the game and let me know if this is still happening on a clean vanilla save. Thank you!

    @MadamePhew Is it any Sims or just a specific one ?

    Could you please test a new save game that never had mods/cc in to see if the same occurs with different Sims.

    Hi @MadamePhew,

    This fix was not retroactive, so any save where this was already occurring before the patch will still encounter the issue I'm afraid. New saves should be unaffected by this issue.
  • Hello @EA_Cade , thank you for your reply. This sucks to hear, I won't lie to you, this was a save weeks in the making. But thank you for the information ! Have a good day

    @EA_Cade I have a question regarding 'retroactive' If my sim never had the 'incest' bug in a pre-patch save, will I be okay? Or is it still a possibilty?

    Hi @gooochyeee,

    It is my understanding that any save created before the patch is unfortunately susceptible to this issue, while saves created since the patch went live should not be able to encounter it.

    @EA_Cade

    Would "Save as" on a pre-existing save be considered a "new save" for these purposes? Are saves that weren't played while the glitch was active safe from this bug, even if they were pre-existing?

    Hi! I'm SimmerStar4 (they/them). I'm not an expert on game issues, so don't take me as one! I'm just a Sims player who wants to try and help fellow players, and who finds game bugs and issues interesting. A lot of issues following the Lovestruck patch (23 July) have already been reported. Unfortunately not. Any save that existed before the patch would be susceptible, so using Save As would only carry forward the pre-existing issue in this case.

    @EA_Cade

    That's unfortunate. Is there any way to protect against this happening for these saves aside from deactivating the Romantic Changes option? Is EA/Maxis going to look into patching this for existing saves too?
