@laralanthalasa wrote:Also, could you tell me how to copy and paste into the cheat bar? For some reason i just can't get it to work. I've just had to type it every time. And it would really save me time at this point haha
Thanks so much.
Note: I run the game on a separate Windows 7 box so I can test how it works out on a minimum spec requirement. So, the following instructions may differ for your setup.
I'm comfortable with Notepad since it's lightweight. You can use any editor you like.
- Start Notepad
- Type "testingcheats 1" in Notepad
- Type "sims.remove_buff buff_CampingForest_Refreshed" in Notepad
- Type "sims.remove_buff buff_CampingForest_HomeSick" in Notepad
- Type "sims.remove_buff buff_CampingForest_LovesOutdoors_Rejuvenated" in Notepad
- Save the file, say, onto your Desktop and leave it open
Now, while playing your Sims 4 Game, open the console cheat (CTRL-SHIFT-C)
Next, press the Alt-Tab key sequence to get to Notepad.
Then depending on your needs, just copy the particular line you need in Notepad (the keystroke is CTRL-C)
Alt-Tab again into your Sims 4 Game which has the console cheat window opened.
Paste the line (CTRL-V)
I noticed there is a special cheat command "stats.remove_commodity" which we "should" be able to use. However, for some reason, I can't get it to work on the cheat console. Maybe you'll have some luck. It "should" remove the problematic commodity if it works.
The syntax is likely (it didn't work for me though):
stats.remove_commodity commodity_Motive_CampingForest_Refreshed
stats.remove_commodity 104832
(or something)
Good luck!
- I've tried typing in the cheat to remove the buff and it doesn't work.

- The Rejuvenated! Buff acquired from camping should no longer keep returning indefinitely. Now once it expires, you will have to go camping to again feel Rejuvenated!
This has been fixed in Patch 1.55.15
EDIT: It's back in full force.

Crin no it hasn't been fixed my sims still have that moodlet. Yes I have mods and I haven't sent them camping since this girl was a teen and she still has the moodlet. Even after the so called fix in the patch.
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
It might not get fixed for Sims that already have the moodlet.
Try with a new Sim.
Mine all lost them over time and now they died so I can't try my existing affected Sims.
- I still have this bug. It resets the refreshed moodlet back to "2 days" every time I go to a new lot even after apparently expiring beforehand. Very annoying! My game is fully up to date so the fix in the latest patch didn't work for me
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
Did they have the moodlet before the patch or acquired it afterwards ?
Already affected Sims will probably not be fixed by this patch but it should not happen on new ones.
They had the moodlet after the newest patch. I played it on 12th Feb and took them to granite falls and after that the moodlet keeps refreshing back to 2 days every time i load a new lot. I have to remain on the same lot for the whole 2 days for it to disappear but it reappears again when travelling to new lots. So unfortunately this hasn't fixed my game. Luckily it's not a negative moodlet that's fixed to my sims indefinitely now lol but I hope it gets fixed ASAP because it messes with my game play. I heard somewhere that ending a holiday early can cause the game to bug and my sims did end their holiday early so I'll take them back and wait for the holiday to end normally and see if that changes anything.

Going to test this in my game tomorrow
I tested it again today (13th Feb) and took my sims to granite falls again and this time waited for the vacation to end properly, without ending it early myself, and then waited on my home lot for the 2 days for the moodlet to expire. I took my sim to a community lot and at first I thought it was fixed because the moodlet didn't appear again so I thought it was just the ending the vacation early that caused the bug but then I took my sim to their home lot again and it's appeared. I've had trouble with refreshed and rejuvenated moodlets in the past too with the 'loves the outdoors' trait (though these current sims don't have that trait) and that was fixed for a while but it's come back again which is a bit annoying :/ thanks for your replies though and I hope it gets fixed in the next patch ^^

The issue has not been fixed. I have had the same problem after the patch where this was suppose to get fixed.
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
Do you still get it on new Sim or is that a Sim that had it before ?
It's working fine for me (two vacations so far)
This bug still hasn't been fixed for me either. I had purposely not taken my current sims on vacation before the second latest patch because I had a sim before who got stuck with the moodlet after going on vacation. I've had my current sims since before the latest two patches but I haven't taken them on vacation until after the second latest patch, when the bug was supposed to have been fixed and i hoped i'd be able to take them on vacation, and then the moodlet has stuck since then and it resets back to '2 days' remaining every time my sim go to a new lot. I will try it again with a brand new sim and see if it's the sims themselves that are broken since I've had them a while and before the patches, but I'm a bit reluctant and annoyed to start again as I've progressed so far with them.

Willing to share your save game ?
If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves, upload to mediafire or dropbox and PM me the link. - crinrict10 years agoHero+
@MissPlumbob123 Try this cheat: Sims.remove_all_buffs
That remove it for me and it hasn't come back.
I did also go on vacation a second time, so I don't know if that helped
That cheat removes the moodlet but it just comes back when i travel to a lot and then home again ☹️ ive tried going on vacation again to see if it would fix it, ive tried repairing my game and everything. Nothing is working, I guess if i want a fixed sim i'll have to make a new one ☹️

It still hasn't been fixed, and it's making it nearly impossible to keep my alien sim a secret, she's always very happy so she glows. Every time I restart my game the moodlet is back.
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
Is this also on an Sim you had for a while ?
Can you upload your save somewhere ?
@MissPlumbob123 Haven't tested traveling to another lot. Will do so
Changing this to feedback to see if more people are having issues.
EDIT: Yeah, not sure what's going on with your save. Each time you go to a different lot, it's back. I've passed on your save game.
Thanks for looking into my game save for me.
After some thought I came to a solution and I've tried it and I think it's the next best thing. I cloned my current sim (the one with the bug) using the cloning machine from Get to Work (which was already in my house as I'd done the scientist career) and i renamed the clone to the same name as my current sim, then used cheats to make the skills at the same level as before. The cloning method also keeps all of the same traits and reward traits so that's even better as I had quite a few. I then deleted my old sim and have replaced her with this identical copy, and because I deleted her the "husband" is none the wiser. I'll just get their relationship up and get them married and the world will never know! Then overthrow the clubs I was previously leader of but that's not much of an issue 🙂
And of course I've tested for the bug and it's all fine! The moodlet no longer exists yay. I will take them on vacation soon and test it one final time and if it never comes back then problem solved.
Thanks for your help
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
I had tried replacing your Sim by uploading to the gallery and putting a new copy. Sadly after vacation, the problem was back ☹️
My method seemed to have worked. I took them on vacation and it didnt come back. Though randomly after playing for a while i came back and now the husband has it! Arrrghh! It never ends. I might have to make a copy of him too via cloning and skill cheats and see if it ever comes back after that. If it does then idk maybe my whole save is broken ☹️ and im not restarting that from scratch. I'll keep you updated
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
Yeah, when I replaced them through the library, they both had it.
Thanks for the update
- I cloned the guy too and he doesn't have the moodlet for now, but the girl has it again just randomly, I didn't even travel to a new lot I was just on my home lot and it appeared. Guess I'll have to deal with it until it hopefully gets fixed in a future patch :/ I just hope they know that this bug exists as they currently might think it's already fixed in the past patch
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
I let them know that it's still a problem. It might even be a problem that came back with the latest patch when it was fixed in the Feb one.
I have it too on my long lasting Sim. As you say, it comes back randomly. I think it counts down and once it reaches 0 it disappears but as soon as you have a loading screen somewhere, the chances of it coming back are very high
- crinrict10 years agoHero+
Reopening this as it was never completely fixe and now back in full-force (at least for me)
