- crinrict3 years agoHero+@BylineBelife It's always good practice to update your drivers but it's of course your choice.
May I ask what your GPU usage is ?

No, I will not try. Nvidia keeps my drivers updated automagicly through their app and it tells me I have the latest GeForce driver. I don't do beta-drivers or third part drivers. I shouldn't have to just because EA releases a bogus patch.
The driver you are using for your 1050 is from 2020 and therefore really outdated especially seeing that you are using Windows 11.
@crinrict linked to the newest driver from NVIDIA in post #149, this driver is not Beta or third party, it is the newest stable release Game ready driver for a 1050 Mobile.
I don't know why GeForce Experience is not showing you a newer driver.
What versions number has the installed version of GFE?
I can't tell if ASUS has suspended the use of new drivers due to technical limitations of this particular laptop model, but I would recommend contacting ASUS support about this issue.
Even if this particular problem is patch-related, sooner or later you will run into problems with such an old driver, if you don't already have them.Edit:Typo

Very good! 🙂

Thanks for your help Holger. I'm getting to old to keep up with all the computer stuff. Nowadays I want and expect the computers to do it all for me.
Anyway, no difference in Sims4 though with the new driver, so I keep to playing my fresh hood and save my legacy hoods for when Maxis releases a fix. - crinrict3 years agoHero+@BylineBelife Glad you got the drivers showing up now.
Could you also repost your config.log file ? Thanks. - BylineBelife3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@crinrict Here it is. Just played a bit. I will perhaps try one of my legacy hoods later tonight, after doing a proper backup first.
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@BylineBelife Thanks. Looks good. Just wanted to make sure the game still uses the Nvidia card (it does).
You're welcome!
After @crinrict already checked what card is used in your system all what is left for me is to say is that I hope Maxis comes up with a fix rather soon.
