I’m not sure if it’s because of todays update. But my game has kicked me back to my console home screen multiple times. I’ve attempted to reset my console to see if that was the issue.

Hi @Tayanarie,
Which console are you playing on, and where exactly in-game is this happening- in Build/Buy mode, when traveling or saving, or trying to load into a household for example?
I play on Xbox series s and it’s happening during game play. Not build or buy mode game play. While I’m playing my sims and trying to get them to interact with things
Same thing keeps happening to me I believe it was the update I swear they always try to fix something and make it worse it's so frustrating. I just got back into sims now it's unplayable great ☹️
Same, just got back into Sims and OF COURSE, there's a buggy update that prevents me from playing it at all. Why wouldn't there be? It's not like we buy the game to play it or anything.
- @zanepie I know it's so annoying Like EA only cares about money they never get anything right every single time they do something they break something else it's so frustrating. Like if this isn't fixed by the time the new pack come out I won't buy it I refuse to spend money on a game that's broken.
I spent like 500 dollars on sims packs last month and just bought the rest of the kits when this patch dropped. Now I can't play more then 10 minutes without game crashing. I'm on ps5
- @zanepie I have the exact same issue! I play on Xbox Series S and it's impossible to play since the update. My game just constantly closes and take me back to the Xbox homepage. I don't even get the chance to play for a few minutes because it closes before the household even loads 🙃
- @stacey1889 I have managed to play a gsme, eventually for 20minutes when I switched to a smaller household with not as many active sims in the save. Not really the save I wanted to play, but I explored all options and it still didn't hold out. Soon as I tried to travel it went black before it even got that far. My current save is completely unplayable. If it actually loads in, it blacks out soon as I touch the controller.
The game has never failed me yet, until now. We were happy with what we had @EA if it ain't broke, don't fix it! 😑 I feel your frustration. I own ALL the Sims 4 content. I’ve paid well over $1,500 for this game and I cannot play it now. I understand bugs happen, but seriously EA! Did you not have play testers that tested your update before you sent it out and completely broke the game for console players?! It’s not like we can have the modders fix things for us like your precious PC players can.
- @ArjiBarjix The save I've recently been playing only has two sims and it still doesn't work for me. I select resume playing and it shows the loading screen but immediately closes once the household loads. I've given up trying to play because the same thing happens every time, even with different households. 😕
I have to continually delete my auto save file on PS5 to play more than 20 minutes at a time
For me, I'm on PS4, and mine crashes when the family cat dies and grim reaper comes
Guys.. (i don’t know how to message on this thread i’m a newbie) But i’ve logged out of my ps4 account and started playing sims offline and so far soo good. Obviously not ideal but a fix for me so far x
Mines doing the same thing.I just play the game the day before I updated it and it was fine but as soon as I updated it. It start crashing
Something weird just happened. I disconnected from the net and I got a notice saying "you are still updating. reconnect to the internet to finish updating." (This is paraphrased, btw.) However, when I check for updates, it says I have the latest version. I'm beginning to wonder if the update went haywire from being incomplete. Perhaps all the files that should have been there weren't?
My game crashed in build mode while trying to create a 3x3 room with walls. I'm on PS5
I have the same problem, since the update I cant even play for 5 minutes then the game crashes. Restart my console a few times and still crash. Even try to restore my license and see if that would be the problem but still keeps on crash. On Sony Playstation 4
Since the update, within minutes of entering Live mode, my Xbox crashes completely.Of course, this is After the struggle of trying to view my build behind the immovable new GUI....
