Hi I’m not sure where to submit this, but I downloaded the 1.31.23 update today and have been playing for a few hours. I’ve noticed that it glitches out, the screen goes black, and it restarts the game and puts me back on the Home Screen. It’s happened about 4 times since I installed the update and it’s totally random when it does happen so I end up losing progress. Is anyone else dealing with this? Is it fixable?
Yes, same issue. After the update on the 31/1/23, I only get to play a few minutes before it dashboards back to the home screen (I have had to play other games =[ ). I am using the Xbox Series X. Before the update, I had no issues at all. I have read on this forum to turn off the console and try it but this has not fix the issue.
Yes! I can’t even get 5 minutes of gameplay unless I let them do their own thing.. any interaction I try to have my household do it kicks me out.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

Please describe the patch or change you made. After downloading patch 1.69. At first it was fine, then it started crashing more and more often, to the point of becoming unplayable as it's now every couple of minutes.
It's currently new years eve in my game, not sure if that info is relevant.
Edit: I've already tried the usual fixes - I've cleared the cache, rebuilt the database and even uninstalled and redownloaded the game and add ons.
Same here. Unplugging everything did not help. I thought it might have been triggered by scheduling a social event, but the playtime keeps getting shorter.
I am having the same issues with my Xbox series s version of sims. I will be playing for 15-30 min and then the whole screen goes black and im at the Home Screen for the Xbox. I wasn’t sure if it was because of the update or if it is just an issue with the game since I just started playing it towards the end of last week. Im glad im not the only one having this issue but I just want to play the game without this issue.
